The Natural Path

The Natural Path

"The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease."
Voltaire, French Philosopher (1694-1778)

Philosophy of Naturopathy

Naturopathy is based on the philosophy that the body has the ability to heal itself and
maintain wellness when given the proper foundation. The basic tenant of Vis medicatrix
or the healing power of nature, remains central to naturopathic philosophy
today. This means that within every organism there is a healing energy, often referred
to as our vital force, qi, or immune system, which is responsible for our wellness and
our ability to heal and maintain health. Following this premise naturopaths use
therapies which support and stimulate this healing power of nature in the gentlest and
least invasive manner possible. Unlike Md''s, Naturopaths do not seek to suppress the
symptoms of disease but rather view the symptoms as a manifestation of a deeper
problem and that it is this deeper imbalance that needs to be treated for a true healing
to take place. To achieve this goal Naturopaths use several different modalities in their
practice which include: nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and
vitamin and mineral supplementation.

My practice

My health and wellness consulting practice incorporates several healing modalities,
including but not limited to nutritional consulting, homeopathy and herbal therapies. I
believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when given the correct
foundation. I have found nutritional therapy and homeopathy to be of utmost
importance in treating most illness and when given the correct homeopathic remedy
and nutritional foundation the bodies ability to heal itself is outstanding.
